I’ve had constant issues with text. Ex. right now I can not make a space in Illustrator. This morning spell check in ID marked every word as misspelled and the language was correct.

In the “info.txt” inside from InDesig 17.4 U2B INSTALLER [RID] you will find the answer:
Bypass Install.app “Damaged” error:
– Right-click Install.app and select “Open Package Contents” from the context menu
– Navigate to Contents > MacOS then double-click the “Install” file
It works like a charme on my Mac mini M1 Monterey.

Version 17.4. works fine under MacOS Monterey on M1 chip.
Installation guide is provided in info text.
I had to allow some installer file in the “Security and Privacy” preferences, but then it installed without any problems.
is it working as apple silicon native app?
When starting InDesign, it takes quite a time (~10secs) to pass the license check and the Home Screen to appear.
In addition, indesign does not remember the selected workspace.
Does anyone having similar issues?
Tried to install InDesign 17.3, but after it opens it freezes and never recovers. I’ve patched, run code signer, opened with and without Rosetta, nothing works. I’m on an M1 Mac mini, anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
I can’t create a new document, after setting all the parameters like number of pages, grids, etc, the app stay quiet without creating the document 🙁
Hi, I’ve installed PS, ID & AI from this site. While working (the sw is indifferent) i got displayed “Core Sync needs your pwd”, many and many times, something like 4 times (with 6-10 windows) per minute. It’s not possible to work like that without getting crazy. Any solution?
If the installation file IDSN_17.1-en_US-macuniversal don’t work, you can use the adobe-packager (search on github) wich allow you to download the last installation file of indesign. Once it’s done you just have to install it and follow the instruction of the crack. That’s what I did and it worked !
Tried both commands suggested by hathi and it still doesn’t work. Installer returns error 182 no matter what.

for those looking to install on M1 (version 17.2.1 on Monterey 12.3).
go to terminal type: sudo bash
press: enter
followed by: xattr -cr /Users/YOURUSERNAME/Downloads/Install\ IDSN_17.2.1-en_US-macuniversal.app
press: enter
OR
xattr -cr and drag the installer to the terminal window and press enter
after this you follow the instructions in READ_ME.txt and you should be set.

When I try to install it, I get the error message that the file is corrupt and cannot be opened.
It absolutely needs CCloud desktop app, otherwise it will not install the program

17.2.1 installer doesn’t open/work.
Cannot install version 17.2.1, even after bypassing with Gatekeeper. After bypassing I’m getting the following error: “Failed with error code 182”. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

For those who can’t create new documents: actually it has been created but not displayed! On menu bar, go to Window > Workspace > Advanced and you’ll see it all!
Current version 16.3.2 is missing the patch tool. Admin please update this when you see this

Sorry if this post is a repeat. It keeps disappearing. My default font has become Adobe Arabic. When I type numbers with a space in between the numbers now get jumbled. This was working fine for a month or so and now today is not at all. Anyone else having this issue?
My default language charged to Adobe Aribic, also number when typing a space get shuffled around. Anyone else have this issue?
I accidentally launched Library via the links window recently. That’s the only thing I can think of that has caused this.
So today my language is switched to Adobe Arabic. When I type number in a typical font the get jumbled now.
Anyone else having this issue? Only thing that happened recently was Adobe Library got launched through my ‘links’ window by accident.

I followed all the advice inside this thread, but I was unable to create a new document. If I click non create nothing happens.
Does anyone know how to fix the publish online issue? Seems it only works if you initiate the trial period. But that doesn’t help when you already initiated the trial period in the 2021 version and trying to upgrade to 2022. When you sign in, it shows this: (^1) instead of your email address and thus publish online doesn’t work
found a solution for the “not able to create new doc problem”.
for me it was that i had a different default language than english.
just delete everything except en_US from apps/indesign/presets/indesign workspaces , /indesign shortcuts

i tried running the script also
1) to activate without patch.tool follow garlar instructions
2) if you see black screen in new document modal you can check this: Preferences > General > Use Legacy New Document dialog
Garlar, open Applications > Utilities > Script Editor and copy/paste the following. Then click the play button at the top right. Then start InDesign.
tell application “Adobe InDesign 2022”
set show whats new on startup of general preferences to false
set show start workspace of general preferences to false
set GG to properties of general preferences

Confirmed:
It works on Apple Silicon M1 and Monterey.
As I have already patched using Codesign I don’t have to run the process again.

INSTRUCTIONS THAT ARE MISSING:
In the InDesign 17.2 U2B [RiD].dmg there is a U2B folder.
In U2B folder there is a “PublicLib.dylib”
This file needs to go in the INDESIGN > Show Package Contents> “/Applications/Adobe InDesign 2022/Adobe InDesign 2022.app/Contents/MacOS/”
Replace file.
Run codesign in terminal
And it works!
17.2 not working on OS 12.3.
copy CRK file to “/Applications/Adobe InDesign 2022/Adobe InDesign 2022.app/Contents/MacOS/”
is missing
It does not effect PS or ILL for M1

Can confirm no patch included with 17.2. Please re-upload.
The last package (17.2) does not carry the Patch tool within.
Before installing this one and eventually mess all up, does the previous patch tool works with this installer?

I’m using Macos Intel and have tried the gatekeeper issue fix in Terminal as stated.
Type: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine
Press: Space
Drag and drop the app into Terminal
Press: Return
Even tried what Ian and WW did by pasting the installer to the desktop first and tried the Terminal again, still without avail. I was able to install illustrator and photoshop no problem.
Please let me know if anyone has a solution, thank you.
FIRST!! drag the installation file to a folder and then apply xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine
disabling Gatekeeper also did not help. 🙁
I hope someone finds a solution to make it work on a MBPro M1 16 inch and Monterey 12.1
Worked perfectly once gatekeeper was disabled and the installer was on my main drive and not external.
I tried the Gateway solution, It didn’t work ;-(

I did what Ian said and it worked for me too! Copied the file “Install IDSN_17.1-en_US-macuniversal” and pasted it to the desktop and then just run the command.
