Interrogate unforgettable characters, crack murders or take bribes. Become a hero or an absolute disaster of a human being.

  • Countless tools for role playing. Mix and match from 24 wildly different skills. Develop a personal style with 80 clothes items. Wield 14 tools from guns to flashlights to a boombox, or pour yourself a cocktail of 6 different psychoactive substances. Develop your character even further with 60 wild thoughts to think – with the detective’s Thought Cabinet.
  • A revolutionary dialogue system with unforgettable characters. The world is alive with real people, not extras. Play them against each other, try to help them, or fall hopelessly in love. Disco Elysium’s revolutionary dialogue system, with partially voiced characters, lets you do almost anything.
  • Carve your unique path across the city. Explore, manipulate, collect tare or become a millionaire in an open world unlike anything you’ve seen before. The city of Revachol is yours for the taking, one small piece at a time. From the streets to the beaches – and beyond.
  • Hard boiled, hard core. Death, sex, taxes and disco – nothing is off the table. Revachol is a real place with real challenges. Solve a massive murder investigation, or relax and kick back with sprawling side-cases. The detective decides, the citizens abide.

cant get either the dmg file or .pkg to work for this game we need a better guide on how to actually install either dmg or .pkg the usual method for dmg ended up just saying the file was damaged and to eject from disk

The steam version works and it runs natively in the m1 system. You need to unquarrntine the .app file using the terminal command “xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine”, press space button, drag the .app file into the terminal, then press return button. You need extract the .app file out of the the .dmg file first off course.

Is this the final cut version?

  4. BB says:

The address for the Steam version downloads fine, but will not install. Tried multiple times. I am on an M1 machine.

  5. BB says:

Where is the Steam version? I just see “here is the steam version:” and nothing else. I have the same problem. Can’t open it because it can’t verify the file.

  6. Found a solution to M1 compatibility:

First off, the .pkg installer does not work directly with M1 machines (without Rosetta 2 installed).

However, after digging a bit (I.e., https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408596960797-Disco-Elysium-The-Final-Cut-M1-compatible-version?product=gog) I realized that it would be possible to install the .pkg on an intel machine and then transfer the app to the M1-machine.

When the application is in the applications folder, run terminal and simply write: xattr -cr (and then drag the application icon from applications folder into the terminal window). It should look something similar to this: xattr -cr /Applications/Disco\ Elysium.app. Now press enter. Voila! It’s M1 compatible! – If you face any issues with the .pkg-installer on the Intel-machine, simply run the same processes there before transferring the application file to the M1 Mac.

And regarding the “SystemUIServer”, it popped up. However, it seems to be a non-issue as this is a “normal” occurrence when GOG games are looking for the game folder directory – or something similar (https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/bad8i1/during_a_game_installation_the_installer/)

And I would urge everyone to actually buy they game after testing it, there’s a big discount at one of the larger vendors.

Tried the .pkg installer and it doesn’t work natively on M1. Is the steam version available?

  8. Danlos says:

Thanks for the upload. However, you did comment: ” Here is the Steam Version: ”
    – I can’t find any link in your comment. Am I missing something obvious?

  9. Ricky says:

    Works great. Cheers

It’s a .pkg, not a .dmg file. And the installation fails after asking for a SystemUIServer
