Archimedes

Archimedes is a Markdown editor designed for Mac to simplify math writing and support inline LaTeX.

As a full-featured plain text and Markdown editor, Archimedes features quick syntax highlighting and convenient keyboard shortcuts that allow users to easily insert images and links, making document formatting and structuring elegant and simple. In math mode, users can quickly start using a subset of LaTeX by typing $$, enjoy support for over 700 intuitive commands, and can autocomplete commands and intelligently match parentheses. Users can use the Magic Type function to draw symbols through gestures, and Archimedes will automatically recognize and insert the corresponding code. The real-time preview feature allows users to see the typography effect at any time as they write, and supports custom themes and dark mode. Similarly, Archimedes provides a series of useful functions, including macros, navigators, error checking, sharing functions, and document statistics, and users can also quickly typeset mathematical expressions through Snippet Editor, and support iCloud to synchronize documents for easy rewriting at any time. The app is compatible with both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, providing a convenient solution for scientific and math writing.
