Description

BatFi is a native and lightweight macOS battery management app designed for Apple Silicon Macs with support for macOS Ventura and later.

Users only need to set the charging limit (such as 80% by default) at one time, and BatFi will automatically monitor the battery level, and when the power adapter is connected and the power reaches the set threshold, it will immediately suppress further charging, effectively preventing the lithium-ion battery from being in a high-charge state for a long time, thereby significantly extending the battery life and performance. Unlike macOS’s built-in “Optimize Battery Charging” feature, which relies on machine learning to automatically delay charging to 100% and lacks active user control, BatFi offers fully user-defined limits that can be maintained at a set level indefinitely, especially for users with irregular usage habits or frequent connection to external displays such as Studio Display. When a full charge is needed, it can be temporarily charged to 100% with just one click trigger through the menu bar icon to meet temporary high load needs. BatFi runs silently in the background as the system starts, using an efficient battery status change notification mechanism to display detailed battery information including remaining power, estimated battery life, cycle count, battery temperature, power status and overall health, while supporting custom status bar icons with smooth animation changes, making battery monitoring both practical and visually enjoyable. The overall operation follows the concept of “set and forget”, which can achieve intelligent battery protection without continuous intervention, perfectly integrating into the macOS ecosystem and bringing users a healthier and longer-lasting Mac battery experience.
