Description

Boomkey is a keyboard layout correction tool for macOS 14 and above.

It helps users correct text typed due to an incorrect input source selection, reducing the need for deletion, retyping, and manual switching. Boomkey The official version supports automatically correcting incorrectly typed words by pressing the spacebar; this feature is currently in beta and covers conversion between English and Ukrainian, Belarusian, Hebrew, and Russian. Double-clicking Shift or using a custom shortcut after selecting text can convert words, sentences, or even entire paragraphs; when no text is selected, it corrects the last word typed and restores the clipboard after the operation. Manual conversion supports multiple installed letter layouts, and the input source switching shortcut and application layout fixing function can also be used with Chinese, Japanese, and other input methods. Users can disable correction or layout fixing for different applications and set exception words that should not be modified. Boomkey The Terminal and code editor have this feature disabled by default. Text is processed locally on the Mac; the official version requires accessibility permissions. The App Store version does not require additional permissions and corrects selected text as needed through macOS services, making it suitable for users who prefer manual correction.
