CamLoop

CamLoop is a macOS menu bar virtual camera tool.

That loops pre-recorded personal videos to video conferences, allowing users to maintain a camera view even when briefly leaving their seats. The software is compatible with apps that support camera selection, such as Zoom, Google Meet, Slack, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime, and OBS. After selecting CamLoop in a meeting, users can switch between looping clips and live feeds via the menu. The Pro version also supports custom global keyboard shortcuts. The first frame ghosting during recording helps align posture, and when returning to live feeds, it waits for a clear, properly exposed frame before switching, reducing dark frames and abrupt transitions. Looping modes include forward and reverse playback, and the Pro version features simulated network latency and local AI frame interpolation. The Pro version also offers real-time freeze, stuttering, low bitrate effects, unlimited clip management, and virtual camera renaming. Videos are saved locally on the Mac and not uploaded to the cloud. The software does not record or take over audio, allowing voice communication to continue during the meeting. CamLoop supports macOS 14 Sonoma and later, is compatible with Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and is Apple certified.
