Chirpy

Chirpy is a custom notification sound tool for macOS.

That assigns different alert sounds to all apps entering the macOS Notification Center, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, iMessage, Mail, Calendar, Browser, Notion, Lilinear Notifications, and more. It creates rules based on conditions such as channels, contacts, keywords, and app names, ensuring that production alerts, customer messages, supervisor private messages, and random group chats no longer use the same type of prompt sound; Users can choose from over 72 built-in sounds, upload their own audio files, and adjust the volume for each rule individually. Chirpy supports intelligent matching methods such as AND, OR, and wildcards, making it ideal for product managers, engineers, customer service, and remote collaboration teams that need to quickly prioritize large numbers of notifications. The app runs as a menu bar and is lightweight. The matching process is done locally, without connecting to Slack, Discord, or Teams APIs, nor does it send message content to the server, enhancing focus while maintaining privacy and a sense of control.
