Description
Chorus is a tool for managing Mac audio output and input devices.
It can combine multiple speakers, displays, headphones, or AirPlay devices into a single output, set up stereo left and right channels, and control playback through unified volume and channel balance. You can quickly select a microphone, assign volume and output devices to different applications—for example, let music play from desktop speakers while continuing a call using headphones; you can also set keyboard shortcuts to switch between devices, input sources, and audio combinations. Volume keys and on-screen prompts support control of the current combination, and automation features can be triggered via Raycast, Shortcuts, or Stream Deck. When using dictation applications, Chorus can pause, lower, or mute audio according to application settings and resume it after dictation. The software does not install drivers or kernel extensions, and no account or bank card is required during the trial period; macOS 13 or later is required, and application-specific volume functionality requires macOS 14.4 or later. Accessibility permissions and application audio control permissions are optional; audio is not recorded or saved.
