Cotypist

Cotypist is a native AI intelligent completion tool for Apple Silicon Mac.

It can predict what words or sentences you will write next in most macOS text input scenarios such as Apple Mail, Slack, Notion, Obsidian, Browser, and Notes, and accept the next word or entire line via Tab. It doesn’t require you to switch to a chatbot, write prompts, or wait for long text to be generated; instead, it displays suggestions directly where you type, keeping the writing rhythm coherent. The software gradually captures your vocabulary, forms of address, expression habits, and multilingual writing as the context changes, helping to reduce repeated typing while preserving your personal tone and judgment. Cotypist All inference is completed locally, with text not uploaded to the cloud. It is suitable for high-frequency input tasks such as email replying, customer service tickets, document writing, marketing copy, social content, and AI prompts. It also reduces input burden for users who type slowly, are not native English, have dyslexia, or have hand difficulties.
