Finder Audio Tools is a macOS Finder enhancement tool for music producers.

Composers and audio material management users. It can replace the system’s original audio preview engine, preload adjacent materials into memory when browsing files, achieve near-zero latency instant playback, and avoid the problem of Quick Look animation, disk read waiting and possible loss of the beginning transient during repeated playback. The software supports volume matching, which can unify the listening level according to the loudness of the material, reducing the interference of loudness deviation and sudden sound explosions on sample selection and judgment; it can directly display waveforms whose size and position can be adjusted, and provide quick listening of the tail or crescendo of transition sound effects. It can preview WAV, AIFF, MP3, FLAC, Apple Loops, REX, MIDI and other formats, and can also automatically play the preview audio of Kontakt, Massive, Battery, Reaktor, Maschine and other NKS-compatible sound libraries. Users can use the keyboard for file navigation, replay, stop, color label switching, move to the trash and automatic playback control, and use Stashes to collect materials by project, drum kit or purpose, and then drag them into DAWs, samplers and other applications. Finder Audio Tools runs in the menu bar, does not occupy the program dock, does not consume CPU when idle, and does not modify the original audio file. After exiting, Finder will return to normal, which is suitable for continuous fast and non-destructive filtering and sorting in massive sample libraries.
