FletchShot is a screenshot annotation tool for macOS.

Built for people who take a screenshot, draw an arrow, and hand it off — thirty times a day, three seconds each.

The instant you capture, the annotation window is open and the arrow tool is already selected. Draw the pink arrow and grab the tab at the bottom edge of the window. Drop it straight into Slack, Mail, Finder, or your terminal — it arrives as an image. Or press ⌘C to copy it, annotations included, and paste it anywhere. No save dialog, no “choose a mode,” no export ritual in between.

RICH FEATURES, KEPT LIGHT

– Screen recording, three ways: full screen, area, or window. Click highlights toggle with one tap. Export is a footer switch between MP4 and GIF; quality is one dropdown — High, Medium, Low. Stress-free with the defaults, three seconds in.

– OCR pulls the text out of any capture. Error messages, tables, code — hand them off as paste-able characters, not pixels. Catch a JSON response on screen and it lands on your clipboard already indented. Processed on-device with Apple’s Vision framework. English and Japanese first.

– Scrolling Capture — capture long pages that don’t fit on screen. You scroll the target window yourself; FletchShot stitches the frames. No synthetic input, no Accessibility permission required.

– Same region, again: FletchShot remembers your last selection and re-shoots it in one move. On days you capture the same screen over and over — docs, bug reports — nothing saves more time.

– Capture history keeps the last 50 shots and recordings so “can you send that again?” takes three seconds. Stored on this Mac only.

– Pin any capture on top of everything else — for design diffs or following steps while you work.

– Numbered stamps turn a walkthrough into a one-two-three. Pixelate what you don’t want to share. Self-timer catches menus and hover states that vanish the moment you try to shoot them.

– Filename templates with {date} {time} {index} keep every capture named the way your team files them. Shortcuts integration hands annotated images and recordings to your own workflows.

– The default hotkey is ⌥⌘4, changeable of course.
