Description

Handy is a free and open-source speech-to-text app that allows users to run the software on their computer and transcribe speech to text with simple keyboard shortcuts.

Simply press the key combination, speak, and release, and Handy will automatically paste what is said into the text box you enter. The app is very simple to set up, with the default key intercom mode that allows users to hold down the key to record, or turn it off to start and stop transcription using a simple key combination.

Handy maps to the Ctrl-Z key, and the transcription icon in the top right corner of the interface lights up when operating. goal is to make accessibility tools accessible to everyone without paying for it, and the user’s data remains entirely local and is not uploaded to the cloud for processing. It strives to provide a simple and easy-to-use tool that focuses on real-time transcription. If you want to support , you can do so by donating, using GitHub Sponsors, or contacting directly.
