HapticPad – trackpad haptics
Information
Description
HapticPad – feel the web on Mac trackpad.
Feel every link. Browse by touch.
CHROME EXTENSION AVAILABLE FROM: hapticpad.app/install
Safari extension included – no separate download required.
brings haptic feedback to your browser – firing through your Mac’s Force Touch trackpad as you hover over links, buttons, and inputs. Your Mac’s Force Touch trackpad is underutilised. HapticPad finally puts it to work on the web.
Boost flow and productivity.
HOW IT WORKS
This Mac app works alongside the HapticPad Chrome/Safari extension. When you hover over an interactive element, the extension detects it instantly and signals the Mac app via a local connection. The Mac app fires a haptic pulse through your trackpad in under 10ms – fast enough to feel like a reflex, not a reaction.
7 CONFIGURABLE HAPTIC PATTERNS
Choose a different pattern for each element type (link, button, input field):
-Single tap
-Double tap (fast, medium, or slow)
-Triple tap (fast or slow)
-Quad tap
Every pattern is assigned independently in the Mac app’s Settings panel.
COMPLETELY PRIVATE – ZERO DATA LEAVES YOUR MAC
The extension transmits only element type (link, button, input). No URLs, no page content, no keystrokes, no analytics, no remote servers. Everything runs locally between Chrome/Safari and the Mac app.
