Description

Haptyk is an innovative keyboard sound simulation software designed for MacBooks.

Which uses the MacBook’s built-in accelerometer to detect the user’s typing force in real time and accurately play the corresponding mechanical keyboard sound. Haptyk revolutionizes the MacBook keyboard experience, with soft and crisp keys when tapped gently, and a calm and powerful impact sound when pressed hard, enabling immersive mechanical keyboard feedback that is truly based on actual typing strength. Unlike other keyboard sound applications that only play fixed or random sounds, Haptyk achieves sub-millisecond low-latency response through force detection of about 1,000 times per second, combined with the native C language audio engine, allowing MacBook users to feel the touch and sound level of a real mechanical keyboard when typing. The software supports a variety of real-life recorded mechanical keyboard sound packs, including the free Biscuit Haptics pack and professional-grade sound packs such as Alpaca Linear, Blue Alps Crisp, Buckling Spring IBM Model M, etc., each containing four velocity levels: soft, medium, hard, and slam, and ensures natural sound transitions through continuous cross-fade technology. Built by the developers who pioneered the access to accelerometers inside MacBooks from M1 and above, Haptyk is implemented with pure native macOS and no Electron framework, ensuring extreme performance and zero latency. Whether you’re tapping in a quiet environment or typing hard while coding hard, Haptyk makes the MacBook keyboard sound perfectly match the user’s typing power, bringing unprecedented typing fun and productivity improvement.
