Nimble

Nimble is a native Git client built specifically for macOS.

Developed using Swift, SwiftUI, and AppKit. It can work concurrently with Claude, ChatGPT, code editors, and terminals, helping developers complete commits, pushes, and repository management without interrupting their current workflow. It provides a ⌘K-based command palette for quickly switching branches, pulling, fetching, merging, rebasing, staging, creating pull requests, and undoing recent commits, and supports direct input of commit messages. Quick Commit can identify the repository corresponding to the current conversation or project, call the user’s own AI service to generate commit messages, and can also complete staging, committing, and pushing with one click. The software supports working tree, branch management, block-level staging, commit graph, GitHub and Bitbucket repository operations, Linear issue branching, pull request search, and a local-first data processing approach. Nimble does not rely on Electron, starts quickly, has low memory consumption, supports Apple chips and Intel Macs, and requires macOS 14.0 Sonoma or later. Code and repositories are always kept natively, credentials are protected by macOS Keychain, AI features are optional and equipped with sensitive information de-identification mechanisms, while also providing an anonymous diagnostic switch, Apple signing and notarized distribution, as well as one-time purchase and continuous update modes.
