Notchy

Notchy is a native macOS productivity tool.

That transforms the notch area of the screen into an interactive control center, running as a floating capsule on notchless Macs and external displays. The software integrates music playback, synchronized lyrics, clipboard history, file saving, Pomodoro timer, window snapping, and system status indicators, concentrating frequently used operations at the top of the screen and reducing the need to switch windows and search menus. For development scenarios, it tracks the usage, budget windows, and costs of tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Copilot, displaying agent activity, permission requests, and the execution status of long-running commands. Face unlock is achieved through the camera, Apple Vision local recognition, and liveness detection; facial features and passcodes are stored in the macOS Keychain, providing a convenient unlocking feature, not equivalent to Apple Face ID’s infrared depth recognition. Notchy also offers independent volume control for applications, AirPods battery level, OCR image text search, meeting prompting, calendar reminders, and shortcut access, supporting customizable panels, gestures, and the side-by-side display of multiple real-time activities. The software is built with SwiftUI, is compatible with macOS 13 Ventura and above, supports Macs with Intel and Apple chips, and provides a Chinese interface.
