Notomo

Notomo is an enhanced companion application deeply integrated into macOS Apple Notes.

Allowing users to experience a faster writing and management workflow within the existing native note window. It provides Markdown syntax conversion at the cursor position, supports standard markup and user-friendly aliases designed for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean users. Notomo Typing a hash symbol followed by a space generates a heading, and code blocks and lists can be converted to native formatting with a single click. An inline toolbar floats next to selected text, making it easy to directly improve wording, explain content, or reformat. Pressing the slash command allows for quick insertion of templates, invoking formatting, or asking questions to the AI, without having to navigate through menus. The command panel centralizes operations such as copy, export, and link, while quick access allows for instant location of any note or folder via keyboard shortcuts. Users can use notes in the Skills folder as reusable skills, referencing the current note or skill in the note-aware AI assistant using @, selecting their own model, and pasting the reply back to its original location, preserving the original format. The software also supports global actions; selecting text in applications like Mail or Safari allows you to run skills and replace results. Notomo does not create a separate note library; all content remains in Apple Notes. The AI only receives context actively attached by the user. It supports connections to services such as ChatGPT, xAI, and Gemini and has its own keys. Anonymous analysis can be turned off at any time, ensuring privacy and work continuity.
