PhotoTransfer

PhotoTransfer is a macOS-based tool for importing photos from iPhones and iPads.

It securely copies photos, videos, Live Photos, and editing files to your Mac, external hard drive, or NAS via USB cable. The software requires no app installation on your phone and does not rely on iCloud, Wi-Fi, or the Photos library. PhotoTransfer The device opens the file in read-only mode, ensuring no deletion, modification, or overwriting of your phone’s content. Before importing, you can preview folders, thumbnails, quantity, and size, and the software automatically organizes the directory by date, event, or trip. Custom folder naming rules are supported, including year, month, city, and country. PhotoTransfer Live Photos, original photos, MOV videos, and AAE edited files are stored in the same folder. Each file undergoes SHA-256 verification. It supports continuation of transfer after disconnection, copying only new files not yet existing at the destination location, and converting HEIC to JPEG and HEVC to H.264. For large photo libraries, Photo Transfer also offers ZIP packaging and detailed transfer reports. It is compatible with Apple silicon and Intel Macs and requires macOS 15 or later.
