Quilt is a tool designed specifically for macOS that is designed to effortlessly convert any content on your screen, such as books, slides, or textbooks, into high-quality, searchable PDF documents.

Users can capture what they need with custom keybindings or mouse clicks, giving them complete control over the screenshot process. Quilt allows users to select specific windows or custom areas to take screenshots, set the number, delay, and interval of screenshots, and even automate keyboard keystrokes or mouse clicks after each screenshot in order to capture the entire eBook or presentation. Once captured, all screenshots are displayed in a neat gallery where users can quickly preview and select what to export. The app supports exporting selected screenshots as high-quality PDF files, as well as as individual images, GIFs, or ZIP packages. Quilt is reasonably priced, offering a free version versus a one-time payment in the Pro version, which allows for unlimited screenshots, custom countdowns, hidden cursors, and more. Meanwhile, Quilt works completely offline and says updates will be made in the future.
