Shiny

Shiny is a one-click memory clearing tool that resides in the macOS menu bar.

Focusing on quick intervention when your Mac slows down, memory pressure increases, or background processes quietly consume resources. It displays the current system load with intuitive status scales and color indicators, and when needed, it can release inactive memory that applications no longer need, pause apps and background auxiliary processes that have been inactive for a long time but are still consuming memory, and let users see the main occupants. Shiny does not perform disk scans, delete files, or read photos or documents; it only works around running processes and memory constraints, making it suitable for users who frequently open many browser tabs, meeting software, design tools, or collaborative applications. The app supports shortcut key calls and can automatically handle memory shortages. All judgments and operations are done locally, with no telemetry, tracking, or ads, and is compatible with Apple Silicon and Intel Mac.
