Sortroom opens the photo folders and drives you already have.

No import, no copies, no quality loss. Plug in your SSD, add a folder, and every photo and video is right there, all in one clean Mac window.

Sortroom NAME A PLACE ONCE. EVERY PHOTO FOLLOWS.
Pick any photo and choose Name This Place. Call it “Office”, “Home” or “Grandma’s”, and set how far it reaches, from a single building (50 m) to a whole neighbourhood (3 km). That’s it.
• Every photo taken inside that circle is labeled with the place automatically: years of old photos and every new one you add.
• Places sit inside each other: “My Office” inside “Mirpur DOHS” inside Dhaka.
• One click in the sidebar shows every photo from that place. Search finds it, and renaming can use it, like Office_2026-10-09.jpg.
• GPS drifts a little indoors, so shots from the same desk still land in the same place.

• Smart categories group similar shots on your Mac: sky, flowers, animals, food, people and more.
• Find every photo from one place, one trip or one day, then plan a carousel in the order you want, a reel, a story or a feed post.
• Mark the keepers Post-worthy (P) or Waiting for Edit (E) with a single key.

KNOW WHAT YOU’VE POSTED
• Log each post with ⌘L: Instagram, Facebook and more, with format, date, link and caption. Carousels too.
• Planned and Posted fill themselves from your post log, and Never Posted shows what’s left to share.
• Don’t post online? Turn the posting tools off in Settings.

YOUR FOLDERS, AS THEY ARE
• See every photo in a folder or drive at once, nested folders included, from iPhone photos to camera RAW.
• RAW (CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, RAF, ORF, DNG, RW2), JPEG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF, WebP and videos (MOV, MP4).
• The right capture date and time zone, read the way Lightroom and Photos do, and place names without the internet.
• Unplug a drive and your labels wait for it to come back.

ORGANIZE FOR REAL
• Rename in bulk with patterns like {date}_{place}_{subject}.
• Move photos into real folders, or organize by date, place, category or camera in one step.
• Find duplicates and keep the best copy.
• RAW+JPEG pairs, sidecars and Live Photos always move together.
• Preview every change first. Nothing happens until you click Apply, and everything can be undone.
