Sweeper

Sweeper is an application uninstallation and cleanup tool for macOS.

It lists installed applications in a single window, displays the actual disk space used by each application, and scans for related files scattered throughout the user’s Library, including caches, preferences, Application Support, Containers, logs, and crash reports. Before uninstallation, Sweeper organizes all matching results by file type, allowing users to review, confirm, and select items one by one, without automatically deleting content without permission. Cleaned items are quarantined and can be restored later. It can also discover files left behind by deleted applications, manage application-categorized launch items, login items, shared extensions, Finder plugins, and importers, and help close unnecessary background loading content. The software offers a graphical interface, Alfred workflow, and a full terminal application, suitable for mouse operation, quick launch, and command-line users. Sweeper supports Apple Silicon and Intel processors, runs on macOS 15 Sequoia and later, and all scanning and cleanup processes are completed locally, without uploading application lists, file paths, or cleanup results.
