Description

TabSwipe is a native trackpad tab switching tool designed specifically for macOS.

Developed in Swift, it transforms three-finger swipes into a continuous, smooth browser tab navigation experience through system-level event handling. It can recognize the currently active application and only takes over gestures in supported applications such as Chrome, Safari, Brave, VS Code, Zed, Notion, Finder, Terminal, iTerm2, and Xcode, avoiding interference with other operations. The software offers horizontal, vertical, or bidirectional swipe modes, allowing adjustment of the swipe pixels for each tab, reverse scrolling behavior, and whether to enable loop switching. A smooth gesture accumulation mechanism allows a single swipe to span multiple tabs, reducing the repetitive operation of triggering shortcuts one by one; it also provides delicate haptic feedback when a tab is switched to the correct position or reaches the edge. TabSwipe supports both loop scrolling and edge-stopping modes and can hide the Dock and menu bar icons, serving high-frequency tab workflows discreetly while maintaining low CPU, memory, and battery usage.
