TackNote

TackNote is a native macOS context-aware note-taking tool.

That allows you to pin notes to specific windows, browser tabs, documents, folders, conversations, tasks, or creative projects. It automatically appears when you return to the corresponding content and hides immediately when you switch away, avoiding the distractions caused by long-term stacking of traditional desktop sticky notes. It is compatible with TackNote macOS 13 and later, and supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It can more accurately identify work objects in applications such as browsers, Finder, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity, DaVinci Resolve, iMessage, Notion, and ClickUp, and can also be associated with other applications by window. Each note offers four content modes: rich text, to-do list, columns, and hand-drawn sketches. It supports multiple note stacking, context rebinding, timed reminders, reminders upon returning, voice memos, and local transcription. TackNote TackBoard gathers notes scattered across different applications into an editable corkboard view, which can be organized by application, project, and subfolder, and allows searching for text, lists, URLs, tags, and voice transcription content. Notes are saved locally and encrypted using AES-256, with the key stored in the macOS Keychain. With iCloud sync enabled, the data is first encrypted on the device and then synced between personal Macs via CloudKit. No account is required throughout the process, and there is no behavior tracking.
