Description

Vibe Island is a native macOS app designed for Mac, transforming the MacBook’s Dynamic Island or top notch area into a real-time control center for AI coding agents.

Users can maintain a focused flow state when multiple AI agents such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex CLI, Google Gemini CLI, Cursor Agent, OpenCode, and Factory Droid are running at the same time, directly monitoring the progress of the agent, reviewing execution plans, approving permission requests, or quickly jumping to the corresponding terminal through the notch without frequently switching windows. The application supports more than 13 types of terminals, including iTerm2, Ghostty, Warp, Terminal.app, as well as VS Code and Cursor built-in terminals, which can accurately locate specific tabs and split screens, and supports tmux sessions.

Vibe Island is developed in pure Swift, is lightweight, takes less than 50MB of memory, and uses almost no CPU resources at runtime, and does not steal the focus of the editor as an inactive overlay. After the zero configuration starts, it automatically injects the necessary hooks into each AI tool, communicates through the local Unix socket, and all data is always kept on the local Mac without leaving the device. Users can also set up 8-bit synthesizers or import custom sound packs for various events, and preview agent plans in full Markdown format and provide feedback in the notch panel, making the AI-assisted coding process more intuitive and efficient.
