The software requires no login or account creation and automatically connects to Spotify and Apple Music. As you play or switch songs, the record covers, track titles, and artist information update synchronously. Vinyl is permanently displayed in the menu bar, running quietly and continuously displaying playback status even after the main window is closed. It also supports automatic startup upon login. Users can disable the built-in background, allowing the turntable to blend directly into their desktop wallpaper, and choose from various display sizes to suit the current layout.
