Description

Curfew is a night screen lock tool that helps macOS users.

Overcome bedtime procrastination and leave their computers on schedule. Users can set a bedtime between 10 PM and 2 AM. Curfew At that time, the app will black out the entire screen, simultaneously covering all displays, desktop space, applications, and websites, fundamentally reducing the chances of continuing to work, browse the web, or seek other entertainment. During the lock, the app cannot be exited normally; even if the process is forcibly terminated, it will automatically recover, creating a clearly defined usage boundary. In case of unsaved work or emergencies, users can press and hold five random keys to complete verification, temporarily gaining five minutes of operation time; subsequent delayed operations will increase the waiting time to avoid repeated procrastination. The screen will automatically unlock at 6 AM every morning and run again at the set time the following night. Curfew supports offline delays, requires no account, has no continuously running background tasks during the day, and only requires an internet connection when starting the trial and activation. The application does not record computer activity, only handles necessary anonymous device identification and trial emails, and maintains lock screen reliability through macOS accessibility permissions. It is suitable for users who often work late into the night, continue browsing content after stopping work, or users who are difficult to control with ordinary applications and website blockers.
