LaunchOS is an app launcher designed for macOS 26 (Tahoe) and is touted as the best Launchpad alternative, designed to help users manage and navigate their Macs efficiently.
Despite how easy Spotlight is, Launchpad still plays an important role in users’ lives and work, so we created LaunchOS to make it easier to launch apps. With features like seamless liquid glass integration, quick right-click menus, global hotkey access, and custom grid layouts, the tool allows users to hide even unwanted apps. Future releases will also add windowed browsing mode, trackpad gesture launch, and full app uninstallation. Based on user feedback, LaunchOS continues to iterate rapidly, and now offers a variety of purchase plan options, suitable for individual users, dual-device users, and small teams, ensuring that every user can enjoy lifetime updates and all professional features.
Notes:
If you're having trouble with permissions try this - Close the app, open terminal, run this command:
tccutil reset All app.remixdesign.LaunchOS
Then try granting permissions again.
If app won't open try Sentinel / resign or "xattr -cr <drag app>".
